The Jerome L. and Dawn Greene Infectious Disease Laboratory
Mailman School of Public Health

The Jerome L. and Dawn Greene Infectious Disease Laboratory, created in 2001, focuses on the establishment and implementation of methods for rapid identification and characterization of emerging infectious diseases. The Lab works to identify and track viral pathogens. In addition, Greene Lab scientists investigate the links between infection and a wide range of chronic diseases including autism, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorders, depression, schizophrenia, diabetes, mellitus, and cancer. The Lab is part of a global consortium that is strengthening links between premier science laboratories and clinical epidemiological programs in the United States and field stations in Africa, Australasia, and South America.
