Program for the Study of Sexuality, Gender, and Human Rights
Mailman School of Public Health

The Program for the Study of Sexuality, Gender, and Human Rights seeks to integrate the new scholarship about sexuality into existing work and activism about gender, health, and human rights, as well as promote constructive dialogue among academics, policy makers, and activists working on these issues. The program sponsors residential postdoctoral fellowships (Ph.D. required for academics, equivalent level of professional experience for activists). The program also sponsors lectures, conferences, and a weekly seminar at the Mailman School of Public Health and the Columbia Law School. The Program sponsors a weekly seminar duirng the academic year, open to graduate students for seminar credit. The Program also sponsors a University Seminar on Sexuality, Gender, Health, and Human Rights which meets monthly at Faculty House.
